Aqua Balance KH Buffer Up
Aqua Balance KH Buffer Up
KH (dKH) measures the bicarbonates and carbonates in water, often known as Total Alkalinity. It signifies the water's carbonate hardness, which influences its buffering capacity.
How does KH affect pH? A higher KH level enhances pH stability, mitigating pH crashes and offering health benefits. Additionally, KH is crucial for biological filtration as filter bacteria continuously consume it. A KH level above 5 is recommended.
When to use: Use prior to adding chemicals, treating blanketweed, or after heavy rainfall. If pH is too low, add KH BUFFER UP until the desired level is achieved. Weekly maintenance doses are advisable.
